St. Sharbel Makhluf

Patron Saint of Lebanon

St. Sharbel Makhluf was a Maronite priest born in Lebanon. During his life, he was widely known for his holiness, spending the last 23 years of his life as a hermit. Many miracles were attributed to his intercession after his death. Blessed Paul VI beatified St. Sharbel in 1965 and canonized him in 1977.
