St. John Leonardi

Patron Saint of Pharmacists

St. John Leonardi was very active in ministering to those in hospitals and prisons. This led to him having a small following of laymen helping in his ministry. In 1579, St. John Leonardi helped found the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine and then published an influential work on Christian doctrine. The congregation he founded, the Clerks Regular of the Mother of God, intentionally remains a small community today, never with more than 15 churches.
