Our Lady of the Rosary
The feast of Our Lady of the Rosary reminds us to take refuge in Our Lady by praying the rosary, a contemplative prayer grounded in Scripture. The feast is also a celebration of the Christian victory over the Turks at Lepanto in 1571. After praying the Rosary with the intention of victory, St. Pius V instituted the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary in thanksgiving.
