The Holy Family

The Feast of the Holy Family, which we celebrate each year on the first Sunday after Christmas, honors the family life of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. They are The Holy Family which each family hopes to imitate. This Feast, instituted in 1893 by Pope Leo XIII, helps to inspires each of us to live in the charity and virtue of the Holy Family.

“The Baby Jesus with his Mother Mary and with St. Joseph are a simple but so luminous icon of the family. The light it casts is the light of mercy and salvation for all the world.” (Pope Francis)
