St. Vincent Romano

St. Vincent Romano was born in 1751 in Naples. He became a parish priest and focused his ministry on the education of children, especially orphans. He knew that education played an important role in helping orphans later in their life. In 1794, he assisted in clearing rubble after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, including moving a great amount of rubble by hand himself. He helped rebuild his church as well as much of the local community. Today, Vincent Romano can be a role model for living a simple life but doing so with great love and charity to everyone we encounter.
