St. Teresa of Avila

Patron Saint of Headache Suffers

St. Teresa of Avila was a mystic, Doctor of the Church, and a Carmelite nun in the sixteenth century. She is famous for reforming the Carmelite order. The Way of Perfection and Interior Castle are spiritual masterpieces. Her poetry is famous as well: “Let nothing upset you, / let nothing startle you. / All things pass; / God does not change. / Patience wins / all it seeks. / Whoever has God / lacks nothing: / God alone is enough.”
