Paulinus of Nola (1).jpg

St. Paulinus of Nola was a prominent Roman politician and writer who converted to Christianity. He married a Christian named Therasia, which helped prompt his conversion. After his wife died, he was elected as Bishop of Nola and lived an exemplary life. He was an ascetic and very generous to the poor, though he continued to write poetry throughout his life. "Let us listen to what all the faithful say, because in every one of them the Spirit of God breathes.” -St. Paulinus of Nola
