Mary Magdalene de Pazzi (1).jpg

St. Mary Magdalene de'Pazzi was an Italian Carmelite nun who experienced several episodes of ecstasy. Although her parents destined for her to be married, God had a greater plan and Mary Magdalene entered into the Carmelite Order. She was allowed to take her vows on what was believed to be the eve of her death but lived for six more years. During this time, she recorded different details of her ecstatic episodes. She is the patron saint of the sick.
