St. Agnes

Patron Saint of Chastity

St. Agnes was a virgin and martyr, though not much else is known about her because she died around the age of 12. According to legend, St. Agnes was a beautiful girl whom many young men wanted to marry. Among those she refused, one reported her to the authorities for being a Christian. Various modes of martyrdom have been considered, including beheading, burning, strangling.
