Immaculate Heart of Mary

The image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary illustrates Mary’s burning love for God and her desire to bring souls to her Son. Her heart is pierced, as prophesied by Simeon, in union with Christ. Her heart is an example of what our hearts should look like. Our hearts should be on fire with love for God. Our hearts should be pure. Our hearts should be pierced so that through the wounds, God can use His grace to heal us and touch others in the world.
