Holy Name of Jesus

From the beginning of Christianity, we find power in the name of Jesus. Jesus expresses this when he says, “In my name they will cast out devils (...) they will lay their hands on the sick, who will recover." (Mk 16:17-18) Saint Paul says: “all beings in the heavens, on earth and in the underworld, should bend the knee at the Name of Jesus” (Phil. 2:10) Saint Bernardine of Siena was a promoter of the Holy Name, spreading the monogram: IHS, which means "Jesus, Savior of Men.” Saint Bernard of Clairvaux wrote about the Name of Jesus saying, it is honey to the mouth, melody to the ear, joy to the heart." Let us always pronounce the most Holy Name of Jesus with faith and respect.
