Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe

The feast of Christ the King began in 1925, and was moved to the final Sunday in Ordinary Time in 1970 (the last Sunday before Advent). The feast was instituted by Pope Pius XI in his encyclical letter Quas primas. Christ is referred to as King of the Universe, who sits at the Right Hand of God. Christ should reign in our minds, our wills, and our bodies. Christ should transform our entire being.
