Bl. Joseph Jankowski

Blessed Joseph Jankowski was a Polish Pallottine priest who was martyred at Auschwitz Concentration Camp during the Second World War. He was ordained a priest before the Wehrmacht occupation of Poland. After the invasion, he was named the Secretary of the Children's Aid Committee before being arrested by the Gestapo and being sent to Auschwitz. There, Father Jankowski was tortured to death by Kapos guards.
